The low-down on Dissocial Mom

37

Rebecca Marshall here, but you can call me Becky. I am still fairly new to the blogging world so bare with me as I continue to find myself and figure this all out.

I am a 25-who-feels-like-100 year old stay at home mom, homemaker, slave, call it what you will.

I have 3 ridiculously adorable children, which whom, probably for the most part, I will refer to as The Bug, Belly and Mammy… or as a whole “the mess makers” or “Baby ninjas”. One (the bug) Is the oldest, the very smart and stylish six year old grade-oner. The middle baby (Belly) is my 3 year old princess/queen/ruler with the iron fist, her highness. Lastly the youngest (Mae Mae) is my babiest baby at nearly two. She is an angel!… a beautiful screaming/ear drum damaging ridiculously cute angel.

I am also common law married to Daddy doodle, and just so we are all clear, this is not his given name. He is a “meat guy” in the meat department at Superstore! And nothing makes me happier then him having a job he enjoys… OK except maybe that this particular job makes it super convenient for him to pick me up a couple bags of chips before he comes home… every day.

There is reason behind my being a “D.i.s.s.o.c.i.a.l. Mom”. Other then my stuck-at-home momness and my lack of getting out much in the social world I am tired, cranky, and probably a little bit smelly, but my family is the love of my life and as the cliche saying puts it, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’ll will also tell you that I, am an avid journal AND list writer and I am currently and ever so slowly working on my first YA novel. Absolutely in love with reading, and I just find the up-most joy in putting pen to paper (or fingers to keypad) weather that be to write a poem, my thoughts, a story or even a grocery or to-do list.

Often I would be doing one of these things and I would think to myself “I should really write a blog”, so that I may add a whole new form of expression to my list of loves …and so that I can really share my clever, witty, awesome writing to the world instead of cooping it up in the bindings of a notebook.

SO here it is, the long awaited and talked about (even if it was just by me) mom blog! Hopefully to be updated every Tuesday and Saturday with a particular topic themed post, and if at all possible some less “planned” just-for-the-heck-of-it posts in between. (*I have actually broken up with Tuesday sad as it is. You may read about it here*) So there you have it, The Dissocial Mom, full of what is sure to be adventure and excitement and just downright badassness! And yaknow if not that, then probably just a lot of boring mom stuff and uninteresting blogs based on my problems with crosswalks! ENJOY

I nominated you for The Liebster Award. Read about it here http://wp.me/s108vn-liebster. I got my nomination back in March so I gues it seems appropriate that I put you here since I procrastinated so long to put this together. I broke the rules and put in 12 nominees but what the heck, I am a reble (I am not going back to change the spelling, I have dragons to feed online).

    • Well thank you! I admit it may take a bit before I manage a response post up, I am anticipating procrastination as well and I wouldn’t want to promise anything! 🙂 thank you so much again!!

I am just sooo amazed! Your writing abilities are incredible. Also, I can relate completely to SO much to u; much in common. I thank u for that bcuz as u know dis-social doesnt come with many friends lol! Too many children for friends & i find writing/reading more enjoyable, than most (daily seen)people (outside of family LOL)–outside of the wonderous moms i met around these parts! I wish u well in writing (im envious of that;). Writing a novel is all I’ve ever wanted to do! Look forward to seeing u get published?*? Thank You sincerely for all of your posts–Your Mommy Blogging friend, Jeanine H

I enjoyed reading this introduction to your very funny and personal blog. I am a moody mama, too, although of a single child, who not so many years ago (well 10ish, but who’s counting), was the sweet little cupid-curled monkey that I see you have in spades over there. So, enjoy…it goes by all too quickly. Thanks for liking my blog, and right back atcha. 🙂

    • It is already going by much too fast for me that is for sure. Thank you for coming by to read! And you are very welcome! Wonderful blog post today by the way! Very thought provoking 🙂

Your gals are adorable. And can I just say how jealous I am that your hubs can bring home chips for you every day? My husband is an English teacher so all he brings are stacks of essays to grade, and they don’t taste nearly as good as chips ;D
